Caps For Kids Creates Smiles for Kids with Cancer
Time for another edition of Earthsavers Gives! We decided to create this platform to share with you the groups that we love and give you details on how you can get involved. Giving back can be such an empowering act. This month we would like to shine a spotlight on an amazing organization that we have recently partnered with: Caps For Kids!
Caps For Kids is a national nonprofit organization that puts smiles on the faces of children with cancer by providing them with a ball cap autographed by their favorite athlete, actor, singer or other notable person of their choice. Caps For Kids works with more than 150 pediatric oncology medical facilities around the country to connect kids with their Cap Heroes. To a child who loses their hair as a result of cancer treatment, a cap signed by their hero gives them strength. It fills them with courage. It makes them feel special. Many kids say it’s as though their celebrity hero is right there beside them in every treatment, rooting for them.
After learning about everything Caps For Kids does, we knew we had to get involved! There are two ways you can help us support this organization. We are now carrying a shade of red nail polish created by Ani Michele. Their beautiful red, “Smile With Your Heart,” is available for purchase at all Earthsavers locations. 100% of all purchases of this polish go directly to supporting Caps For Kids! This all natural nail polish line is vegan and cruelty free. We also want to make it easy for you to make a donation, so we now have the option for you to add a $1 donation to any purchase you make in stores!
